Well it's about that time. I have 3 sets of wheels and tires here at the house, and I have run through just about every set of them lol. This does not include the set of 18's I have on my Camaro. The wheels are factory firebird 5 spoke (came on my car when I purchased it), Factory Camaro wheels (Salad Shooters, stock on the wifes car) and a set of Chrome Snowflakes. I purchased the snowflakes from a guy for a bill or so, and ran the crap out of them until I put the 18's on. That is when everything went wrong. The wife was driving somewhere that had a crapload of trash in the road or something because almost every week, we were taking the car in to have a tire patched. Well, our luck finally ran out and we have to put a new set of tires on her car. I have it narrowed down to two because of the prices of these tires. Primewell Falcon The falcon has a better treadwear rating (360 vs 280), but the falcon is H rated whereas the Primewell is W rated. Now, she is not going to be hitting the track anytime soon, but the last time I put H rated tires on my car, it felt as if I was on ice. The sidewalls wouldn't hold worth a crap. But, that was with a 70 series, and not a 50 series. I really like the look of the Primewell, and with what I want to do to the wifes car, I think they would be the better match. Unfortunately, I will need to get new wheels to complete it lmao. Yeah, that's not going to happen for a while. We are just going to stick the chrome snowflakes on it and call it done. I do still need to find out where that upper end knock is coming from when it's cold though... That's a whole nother thread lmao. Let me know your opinions.
